Salisbury

The medieval city of Salisbury with its iconic cathedral is a must see. The city was first established in 1220 and is built on a grid pattern. It has the added advantage of being largely all on one level (no hilly streets to tire one out!) and the centre covers a comparatively small area, so much can be seen without the need to move the car, parking rules permitting! There is a wide selection of shops from many of the standard “High Street” variety to one off locally owned establishments.
