The River Test

The River Test is one of the finest chalkstreams in the world, and regarded as the birthplace of dry fly fishing. It rises near the village of Ashe, in north Hampshire and flows for 40 miles until it reaches the sea at Southampton Water. Along the way many other little rivers and streams join the Test, including our very own Wallop Brook. Every year anglers travel from around the globe to fish this wonderful river which is famed for the quality of its fly fishing for the native brown trout and, of course, little trout!
